The Kate Shu Collective and the Monarch Shoppe was initially formulated as a solution to a business problem. Visionary, Kate Hightshoe Lambert, wanted to build and cultivate a creative and innovative business space engineered from a basic framework, model, and shared values. With a deep passion for "The Arts," creative people of many kinds, and the Artwork they create, Kate struggled with finding an efficient way to do business across the broad range of art genres, styles, expressions, and industries that fully encompassed the entire spectrum of her creative passion.
Kate feels that the traditional path of how we explore and utilize our talents and strengths puts boundaries and limitations on our potential for success. Often businesses hire for specific roles, titles, and attributes instead of "whole people." As a result, individuals often wind up in jobs that only take advantage of a fraction of their strengths. The Kate Shu Collective is a structure, a carved out space, a cohort, a community, a hub, a vehicle, a vibe..., where our world-class talent can thrive, solution makers and problem solvers experts in their places and spaces, for creative expression by creative people all under one roof, one name, one family.
The Monarch Shoppe is a values and mission - driven, global, e-commerce, creative community that showcases and sells art of many kinds from an "Artist - first" approach in a manner that's welcoming, affordable, scalable, iterable, efficient, and accessible because it’s who we are and it’s in our nature.
Monarch Studio Café serves as the hub and catalyst for creative connection for the Kate Shu Collective family of brands.
Founded in 2020, Monarch Studio Café is in the business of finding innovative ways of contributing to the professional success and longevity of beautiful people who create beautiful Art and expanding the potential of the industry. We measure success based on three KPI's:
1) Job Satisfaction
2) Financial Stability
3) Industry Retention
Art's value and contribution to the quality of life is boundless and should not only be recognized but realized as such. In many ways, Art is everything, everywhere. From blades of grass, to the magnificent architecture of skyscrapers, the formation of clouds, the wall paper and wall art in every hotel, restaurant, and retail store in the world, the music that pipes through every subway tunnel, vestibule, and elevator, the selection and arrangement of charcuterie on a plate, the lush gardens of science and art museums, or a robin singing a spring salute, Art is everywhere, all around us, all the time.

We're strategic Creative Solutions Consultants - we're partners, problem solvers, connectors, conveners, conduits, and catalysts for dreaming big.
Our “small batch” mindset about everything from the recipe - to the quality of ingredients - to the “secret sauce” is baked into our process and is evident in our results.
We deeply value our clients and the relationships that connect us. We support our clients and partners in revolutionizing 'great' to 'extraordinary' and we believe the pulse of any successful and sustainable business begins and ends in the hearts and minds of the people.

Created just for tattoo seekers, tattoo enthusiasts, those that are tattoo-curious, tattoo artists and business owners, we showcase and sell exquisite original "BodyART," tattoo artwork, you simply won't find anywhere else in the world.
Our business model was strategically designed in order to adhere to the Kate Shu Collective values and framework. Not only are we in the business of elevating a broad range of art styles, genres, and disciplines, but ensuring authentic, human generated, non-stock images are affordable, accessible, and welcoming and that the processes we adopt are efficient, iterable, and scalable.
Part of the Artist myth and narrative says that only the elite should afford the luxury of buying, selling, brokering, or owning "original" art. The conversation and debate between "high-brow" and "low-brow" art has existed for centuries and plays it's part it assigning privilege and opportunity. Anyone should have access to experiencing the privilege of buying original Art. From $5.00 to $500.00, we have something in our BareBones BodyART Collection for everyone.
